Good morning all!
A major baddie (collection) is set to fall off all 3 of my CRs in the next month. For two of these reports (EX & EQ) this will be my last derog to fall off. TU still has a single 90-day late reporting for March 2005 for a student loan (long story...I'll just say I'm okay with how it is reporting).
The collection just fell off my EX report today (CCT). Unfortunately, I can't pull my EX FICO. My PLUS FAKO (which I know means zip in regards to my FICO) jumped from 678 - 782. I hope my FICO has done something similar.
I can't wait to see what happens when this collection falls off TU & EQ (TU reports it will fall off 7/2010, EQ shows DOFD as 8/2003). It's Midland, and they update the balance frequently, so it looks current.
I just want to thank everyone who has given great advice & comments while I have been going through my credit repair journey. I started it in August 2009 with 3 major derogs on EQ and 6 on EX & TU (not including the student loan late). Through DVs/PFDs, vacating a judgement, settlement, the HIPAA process, & time, I will soon have two squeaky clean reports!
TU: 599 (8/2009) - 704 (6/2010)
EQ: 656 (8/2009) - 687 (6/2010) (2 out of 4 CCs showing a small balance)
EX (PLUS FAKO): 595 (9/2009) - 782 (6/2010)
Thanks!
Congrats! I hope to be where you are soon, although I expect it's years away....
Could you tell me what the "remain on file until" date was on EX? I've got something that says it should "remain on file until June 2010" on my EX report, and I'm wondering when I can expect it to actually fall off.
Actually, that is the weird part. Initially, the remain on file date was May 2010. I was in the midst of doing the HIPAA process & pulled another report in May & saw the date had been updated to June 2010. I didn't have records & I saw that it was slated to report until July on my other 2 CRs, so I wasn't too concerned. I was wondering if the date was going to change again to July 2010, but it dropped off today.
I think that Experian usually reports a baddie until the end of the month, so I would suspect it should drop off today. If it hasn't dropped by the first week of July, you may want to pull a report directly from EX to see if the date has changed.
Is the baddie reporting only on EX or on your other reports as well? What are the fall off or DOFD on those reports?
It's gone from EQ (They had a DoFD of September 03) and TU says due to fall off 08/10. I really want this gone in the next two weeks, though. Just hopin'.
OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG!
I pulled my three reports from CCT & saw that the collection had dropped from my EQ report today. I pulled my score and...somebody pinch me...
My EQ score has gone from 687 to 801!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, you are reading that right...my score went up 114 points overnight! I am officially blown away!!!!
It just goes to show that with hard work, perseverance, & patience, ANYONE can do this. Woot!
Thanks again everyone!!!
That it AWESOMEE! And great news for the rest of us...thanks for taking the time to share your journey. Very informative!
Whoa!!!!!!!!! Nice!!!!!!!!!!
That is amazing!!!! Congratulations!!!!
Wow. Just wow. Is that the FAKO from CCT, or did you see the thing drop off and check elsewhere for the FICO jump?
The EX jump from 678 to 782 was a FAKO, but the EQ jump from 687 (pulled on 6/23) to 801 were FICO scores (both pulled from this site).
Thanks!
