Somehow the jerks who bought an old debt six months ago, thereby making the collection appear new again, just got dropped from the reports they were on. One jumped to 700. So while I'm not 100% sure it won't come back, I'm excited to see 700, ha. There's only six months left until it would fall off, anyway. With TU I'd just have them remove it right away if it does come back.
I don't want to app for anything, either. I already have all I need. I've got 2 years before I can expect everything to be fully clean and gone for good. This is nice, though.
In early 2015 this score was at 551. I won't go into a bunch of details, but I got decent cards as soon as I could and just always paid them off every month for the last 2.5 years while stuff started falling off. My advice is don't wait for a clean record to start applying for cards.
Awesome! Thats my goal score across all 3 bureaus (700). I too started my rebuild in 2015 and its been a rocky road. I am just now starting to see increases and it feels so great. Most of my lates will also drop in 2 years and I plan to stay steady until then so I can finally see a clean file. Although I have no collections or judgements anymore, I have quite a few lates from 2014 and student loans.
