Hey all!
Now Im finally seeing the resutls of the hard work paying off...I started my personal rebuilding process aboout 3 years ago...
Seriously this past January 2014 ...
Ive gone from 6 collections, No credit at all, and scores as follows
(MYFICO as of April 2014)
EQU 560 - EXP - 554 - TU 636
CA accounts (4 medical, 1 broken lease on apt) PFD and escalated/disputed and compaint with BBB resulted to all 4 medicals removed from TU and
and lease CA just deleted as of this past friday -
One more baddie to go with BOA OC and LVNV CA (same account) which is set to fall of this Sept/Oct/Nov? - diff DOFD on all 3 CRAs so Im
assuming it will be off all 3 by January 2014! Currently disputed since its only a couple months for them to fall off and hoping they will just remove (Fingers crossed since phone calls didnt work for early removal
As of today, with rebulding I have been able to obtain:
NFCU New car loan - $30,000 w/2.4% apr
NFCU Platinum Visa - 3000.00 CL
Capital one secured 400.00 CL as well as Mastercard unsecured 300 CL
Fingerhut 600.00 CL
Walmart 400.00 CL
Dressbarn - 300.00 CL
Macys - 300.00 CL
Amazon - 600.00 CL
Kays Jewelers - 500.00 CL
I am curently at a 40% Util which I have budgeted myself to pay off my October 1st down to 9% util across the board..
I know that my scores will continue to raise once I bring my util down and my newer accounts start to age, but with this one baddie just being removed,
will that help my FICO anymore or is it just a one time boost overall? I only have one 30 day late on my CAP 1 account but its from Jan 2013, so I dont believe that is harming me very much as this point since its pretty old. Correct me if I am wrong, Should I attempt a GM letter for this item?
My goal is to be able to buy a home in January 2015 and at this point I will more than likely be going for an FHA due to the low money down (I do have money in my 401k I could withdraw, but still considering that as a down payment option.
Slowly but surely!
Uphill battle to say the least, but any suggestions are welcome other than the obvious lowering UTIL and gardening until the end of the year...
Scores as of today (MYFICO of course)
EQU 607 - EXP - 626 - TU 609
Congratulations! It's a good feeling to see your score going up.
Fantastic, grats to all your success
Thank you
Gdale - Any other suggestions of anything that I may be missing to increase scores? From all of the posts I have read, I think Im headed in the right direction!
