January 2016 I applied for a loan with my credit union. I was denied due to "delinquent past obligations". At the time I had a FICO score of 598. Since then I've done a lot of research and lurking on this forum. Long story short, I now have 3 credit cards (AMEX Blue Cash Everyday, CapitalOne QS, CreditOne) and a personal loan. Checked my Fico score yesterday and it is now at a 709 Transunion (725 Vantage) !! Still pushing for a FICO of 720 across the board. I still have about 3 baddies that I've been working on. But for now I think I'll just retire to the garden. Just wanted to drop in and share my success in hopes of motivating others.
That's wonderful, congratulations!!!
way to go! Congrats!
Congrats I be glad when my score get in the 700s

I'd dump that credit one and get something a little better before going into the garden otherwise excellent work! Dv
I agree - if the Capital One is more than 6 months old, app for their platinum card. Dump Predator One ASAP.
Although it is the oldest, what would closing that one do to your AAoA? If it isn't terrible or won't go below 3 years, then it won't hurt you as much as keeping it open IMO. But there are others here smarter than I.
