Re: Finally pulled the trigger

I still can't get rid of that pesky portfolio, I'm gonna let it alone for the time being while I go through this mortgage process.

I started rebuilding in November 15 to get a mortgage. I was lost until I found this place, I joined December 21, with the help of all yall fine folks I was able to raise my middle mortgage score from 577 to a 656 today. Had loan officer pull and after sending in some paperwork I got my pre approval  letter for 200000 for my VA loan. Not bad for 3 months, but still a ways to go, I want to get to the mid 700s. If I can do it any of yall can. Just keep at it and don't get discouraged.

Well I been looking at houses since rebuilding, found a nice 3/2 with den and pool, 2800 Sq feet, put offer in they countered, finally signed contract on Monday 3/21. Already had termite inspection, home inspection, 4 point for va, and wind mitigation report. This process makes me nervous as hell. Closing date of may 5th. Fingers crossed. It's just me and my great dane, he's more nervous then me. Lmao Smiley Happy

Grats! I'm looking to close too, in about two weeks. VA is set to do the appraisal on the 4th. Should close once thats done.

Congrats NormanFH  let me know how it turns out, we ordered the va appraisal on the 28th waiting on that. This is the part that makes me nervous as hell.

Picked up our keys on 5/12! it was a stressful 2.5 months but it worked out ok - got the place for $10K under the original offer (VA appraisal came in low, so we renegotiated) of $150K. My UTI is shot from trying to hold on to as much cash as possible, but no score worries now. Came out of escrow having to pay only $340.

very happy camper!
