So im in the rebuilding stages of my credit, same ol sob story, screwed my credit up back in college yada yada, anyh
ow its been almost 7 years since then and now everything derogatory has fallen off except one item (Capitol One CC which should come off in December along with its evil twin brother an AAC collection thats been paid) so ive been pretty stoked about everything going on. My scores have all gone up from low 500s up to high 600s in a course of 6 months and better credit habits. Problem is that I signed up and received a CL from Fingerhut back in February, because lets face it theyre one of the few that gave me credit, and now all a sudden 9 months later they stop reporting to my Transunion report... what gives? Is this happening to anybody else? If so please let me know or maybe someone can give me some helpful advice. I went to my Equifax report and its still there so I tried the website and sure enough I still have Credit on there with same limit. Im aware they dont report to Experian but now no longer to Transunion? If thats the case then its basically useless. I buy theyre overly priced items every other month to keep activity. The worst part is that it all a sudden disappeared off my report causing AAOA to go down any my utilization to go down along with a 20 pt dip on my report... help
Here is a thread on it : http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Those-of-you-with-Fingerhut/td-p/2416329
Idk what is going on I have fingerhut too its the one account I wish i never applied for. The stuff is overpriced the coupon codes almost never work and the shipping cost is really high.
Thank you for the link, I feel better now knowing im not the only one experiencing this. Bittersweet though because I was hoping it was an error just on my report that I could call in and have them fixed. I agree with you on the Fingerhut being terrible. Ive gotten a few cards since then and a loan and im sure Fingerhut had no help in any of it. Way over priced stuff! But I still need them now seeing as they're my second longest open account... thanks again
