First 30 day late in two years and scores drop 20+ points

After successful disputes and payments my score jumped plus 20 points across the board. November rolls around and Conn's electronics hits me with a 30 day late from August. This one 30 days late dropped my scores by 28 points on equifax and 25 on Experian.

How long will it take before my scores rise again??

Sorry to hear that, can you dispute it?  Is it valid?

Thanks, Honestly I dont recall missing an entire payment ever on this account. I have been late by a week or two during that timeframe but I honestly cant remember a 30 day late payment.

If you are in good standing with them, call and ask them to fix it.  If not, dispute it with all 3 reporting agencies.

That 1 30 day late will haunt your credit report for years... approximately 2 years.

On the positive side, a 30 day isn't so serious as say a 90 day late.... I've heard of single 90 day lates dropping a score by 50+ points
