I am currently in the process of building my credit. I have one sercured card and am looking to get another but I believe that a charge off from a First Premier card that I do not recall is getting in the way. What would be my best way to get rid of this charge off? It is set to drop off in January of 2018. I have read of some having luck with the email method and a select few having luck with a pay for delete. Now, the issue is I would have no problems with paying the debt off, I just don't want it showing as having been charged off at any point in time or being late. Has the success rate on a PTD for First premier gone up lately, or would I be better off sending off the dispute by email?
Credit limit: $300
Charge off amount: $660
on a side note, is there any way to see a glossary for the abbreviated terms that I see on the forums for those that I don't really know the meaning of?

You first want to verify its yours if not then you would have it excluded from your CRs by using the ID Theft procedures afforded you in the FCRA. If its yours and updating monthly you want to try to get the PFD if they wont do that then settle it to stop the updating and switch to a GW letter campaign.
