First Premier -not sure how to handle

I have two charged off credit cards with First Premier.  I had received collection notices from Jefferson Capital offering settllement.  When I check my CR's First Premier is the only one reporting with balances.  Jefferson Capital is not listed under collections.  I have contacted First Premier offering ot pay and they told me to contact Jefferson Capital to arrange payment.  They stated it would update in 30 to 45 days as paid in full.  Does this sound accurate to you experts out there?  I know it's not deleted, but I figured I would send GW letters after payment.
