I have a CO with first premier from 2008 and it hasn't shown any late payments since 2009
however this morning I pulled my report and they are now showing 120 days late through august of
this year, can they do that since this account was SOLD?
How can they report a late on a account they haven't owned since 2009?
Are you certain it was sold? Often times, an OC will "assign" it to a CA but not sell it as a junk debt. As for them posting the lates, I would think this action would reset the DoFD, which reages the debt since the DoFD is based on the date of first deliquency that lead to the CO.
I would start with a direct dispute with First Premier and see what they have to say about it.
On TU and EX both still say Sold zero balance
I remember calling them in early 2009 to pay off
but was told they no longer owned the account
+1 I'd go the direct dispute route. Has it been paid through a CA? If it's been charged off and they no longer have the debt, they shouldn't be updating new lates.

The "date updated" hasn't changed since Sept 2012. Do you have a previous report to compare to?
I'd probably take issue too. Based on what you just posted, the DOFD is around 11/2008. That would support the date paid field. They closed it the following month in 2008. Fast forward, they have the [last] payment made at 4/2010. This field gets triggered when the debt is sold to a CA which triggered the $0 balance. If you have other reports prior to this, then it'll help, but I think the lates beyond 4/2010 shouldn't be there.
Try to find the full 7-7.5 yr history. I know this was pulled from TU or EX directly and may not have been included in the report, but the number of 90+ day lates listed are less than the 27 total figure they gave you. I suspect the lates started prior to that.
in an earlier EX report it says it wasn't charged off until Oct 2010.
in an earlier TU report it says it wasn't charged off until Apr 2010
and in an earlier EQ report it says it wasn't charged off until May 2010
all reports still have the same fall off date
but the "current" lates are killing me
Like llecs said, the new lates probably shouldn't be there. You will have to take that up with First Premier probably.
Yep that's what I was thinking....
Any ideas on the best way to go about this?
