First time over 700 FICO! Rebuild

So a year and a half ago my scores were 490 -512 FICO.

I've since put a lot of time and effort into rebuilding.
When I started I had 6-7 collections accounts, a charge off, and no open credit cards. My credit has been shot for the last 5-6 years, for a long time I just learned to live without credit, but a year and a half ago I started to rebuild, seeing other's success was a huge motivator!

I've disputed, done PFD's, and have done everything I can to rebuild. 18 months ago I went into T-Mobile and they said they wanted a $400 deposit for an IPhone, whereas my friend with a 630 FICO got it with no deposit, that was painful.

After reading some people's stories on here I got the motivation to rebuild. I never thought it was possible I thought I was stuck in this whole of misery for life. But today, for the first time ever I checked my score and it was above 700 FICO!!!

"Credit Scorecard
XXXXXXXXX, here's your Credit Scorecard
This is your Credit Scorecard as of 07/24/2017. Come back after 30 days to refresh it.

702 FICO® Score
23 Total Accounts
6 years Length of Credit
5 Inquiries
46% Revolving Utilization
0 Missed Payments"

About 14 of the accounts shown are student loans for $1,000-$4,000.

And the bonus, since I'm currently at 46% UT and still have a 700+ FICO that means once I pay it down my scores will go even higher! Smiley Happy

I can't believe it, this is an unbelievable moment for me, I'm almost in tears. This means so much to me to join the 700 club you don't even know!!!

Please never give up, keep reading people's threads and use them as your motivation, know that you can to someday join the 700 Club!!!

What fantastic motivation! Thanks for sharing your story. Any hints on the PFDs or just work, work, work?

Re: First time over 700 FICO! Rebuild

For the PFD's I just searched on here the Collection's agency's name and asked if I could pay the balance in full eighth then and there if they would help me by removing it from my credit report because I've been working really hard to clean up my credit. They usually put me on hold then said yes.

Re: First time over 700 FICO! Rebuild

Haha thanks Irish Smiley Wink

It's mainly from an 11.3k balance on a 13.5k CL (on a BT offer of 2.99%). Just sent in a $1,300 payment to get the balance under 10k. That should give me a nice 5-10 point bump. Then once it's completely paid I'm hoping it'll be a total bump of 30 points (hoping). Putting me past 720 FICO which is considered "Great" or "Very Good". Then once I'm under 5/24 which will likely be 9/2018 I'll app with Chase! Haha

Re: First time over 700 FICO! Rebuild

Thanks Bella! I hope so too Smiley Happy

I have a question: Looking at CCT today it shows my scores as:

702 EX, 675 TU and 677 EQ

Examining my reports the ONLY difference is that my TI and EQ reports both have an AU account of my fiancée's that has 3-4 30 day lates from 2012.

Should I remove myself from this? This account is increasing my AAOA with those bureaus, which is an upside.

AAOA for EX is 2.2 years, the other 2 show 2.8 because of this account.

What are your thoughts???
