Fixing Old Debts

Hi!  I have paid off, in full, several delinquent debts from 5-6 years ago.  I should have asked them to agree to take the account completely off my credit reports if I paid the balance in full before paying the balance but I didn't.  Should I call or send something in writing now, asking them to please take the account off of my credit reports since I've paid them in full or is it too late?

Re: Fixing Old Debts

Since the accounts are paid, start sending GW letters to have them deleted.

Re: Fixing Old Debts

When you send them, it is a good idea to start off saying This is NOT a dispute, but a request for blah, blah, blah.  That way there will be no mistake you are not disputing anything.
