I have a friend who lost her house with Citi in 2010 and recieved a payout on both settlements in refrence to the "National Mortgage Settlement".
She would like to try and to have the foreclosure deleted from her reports.
Due to the class action law suite and the agreeing to the settlements, is it likely?
(I mean, by agreeing to the payout, they in some way admit fault right?)
And if so, whats the best way to attack the situation?
according to what I read, you don't give up any rights. It was a preliminary "were sorry, we messed up" check. that said, I cashed it and a few weeks later GW'd Chase and they removed all references to forclosure on my CRs. I still have the lates, but i'm working on those now.
