Frequency of sending GW's

How often do you send GW's to the same creditor?  I have heard monthly, weekly and bi-weekly and was wondering if anyone had any stats on which worked best for them.

Thanks

I'm curious about this one, too. Weekly seems a bit much - and if sending certified mail with return receipt, a bit expensive...

Yes I am wondering about this as well. I sent 2 GWs to very old accounts that became past due for about a month but didn't hear anything back. I am thinking I should try again.

Re: Frequency of sending GW's

You can send GWs thru emails daily too if you really want to annoy the person or be persistent :smileywink: I guess it varies in whose the OC or CA to see results. From experience I started send GW letters to addresses on my CRs and wasn't having success until I got a hold of higher upper peeps emails and started sending my GW messages. It typically took just one message to get two negative accounts removed. Now I've been sending GW letters and emails weekly to three OCs (PayPal, HSBC, and CFNA) since January and they won't budge! :smileysad:

Starting Score: 486 EQ, 529 TU, 518 EX 12/6/2011 (FICOS - lender pull)
Current Score: 595 EQ SW 1/10/13 628 TU08 1/10/2013 593 EX (BoA HP) 1/5/12
Goal Score: > 620 for starters! :smileyvery-happy:

Re: Frequency of sending GW's

I had GW success with Chase after 1 letter, a finance company it took 4 letters the 4th was to the CEO.  I have sent 3 so far to Barclays and nothing yet, not even a response either way from them.  Finding higher ups for them is looking to be difficult too.

Re: Frequency of sending GW's

Im trying  to match the severity of the account with my level of transmittal.  If its an account that I really need their GW to get fixed (big baddie), Im starting off slow and cautious and trying to be respectful of them (after all trying to get their GW).  As I get rejections, Im increasing the GW's that I send and expanding out my umbrella of who I send them to.  Right now, Im flooding Verizon and Entergy as they are not budging and being horrible about this.  Cap1 (my worst baddie) I'm sending letter every week to 10 days.

Current Score: EQ 678 TU 702 (Amex pull) EX 724 (Amex) CK 682 (FAKO-EX 684, EQ 684, TU 684)
