I have a Rooms-to-Go (GE Capital) credit card with a $4,500 CL and a $0 balance that is showing up on both my TU and EQ reports as "closed by consumer," which is absolutely not the case. I called and spoke to a CSR about it, and he said he put a note on my account for them to fix it when reporting to the CRA's next month. I don't know if that will work or if I should call a backdoor number and speak to a "higher-up." Anyone ever had this happen? I want to get this fixed as that would lower my utilization % by roughly 18%.

You are right in calling them and asking why it was closed. Have you used it lately?

Haven't used it since last year, but I just paid it off last month.

Update: The guy I spoke to was true to his word, and they got it fixed on my reports. My TU score jumped 25 points!
