Hi, been a visitor of myfico for about 3 ½ months,. So I decide to join the forum to receive some input on my CASE. Here is a little bit about my situation.
Six months ago I decide to take a look at my credit report through a offer I received from my bank wells Fargo , the IDENITY THEFT PROGRAM, which allows me to receive an updated credit report and credit score from all three credit bureaus. The scores in Jan 2013 were Experian 548/ Equifax 615/ Trans union 601. The last pulls was April 2013 the scores reported Experian 648/ Equifax 651/ Trans union 678.
During that three month span I did the following added one secured wells Fargo credit card 400.00 CL, two GE capitals cards: Wal-Mart 600.00, and chevron 400.00, and also my truck loan started reporting to trans union only ( sub prime loan through finance company due to no credit and 3 medical collection back in March 2012) so any way they only report to trans union , but only started reporting this year in February. But it back dates to the original loan date which is 03/2012, so probably why score is higher than other two.
I still have the collections on my report all unpaid medicals, one from 2009 and the other two from 2011. So I hired Lexington Law firm to help get medical collections removed (was that a smart move?)
The reason I write is because I have been learning about the Importance of GREAT credit and really wanting the 700 PLUS status in my pocket. So any advice is appreciated that is giving to the me and others to help reach my goals 700+. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.
P.S. could not receive MYFICO scores due to short period of having the credit card accounts they tell me, it takes six months for Equifax to calculate a score with limited history.
Is it too late to get your money back from Lexington?
Unpaid medical collections are some of the easiest collections to have removed from your report, especially if you're willing to pay in full.

thanks for your reply. yes it is probaly to late to have LL refund the $99.95. but what are the odds of the firm achieving the deletions?
They can't do anymore than you can. Yours would be for free though. Save that $100 a month.

In my case, I have found that that is not the case. All of my medical collections are with Central Financial Control and they have not been willing to remove anything even after paid in full

Unpaid collections are easier to work with than Paid. You have the leverage because they want your money. Medical collections, from what I've encountered, are mostly assigned, not sold, and so it's generally easier to PFD those.
