GW Ford Credit

I had a Ford Credit loan
Paid in full 5/2004 (DOLA)
I was late 1 time.
They reported it on all 3 CR.
Do you think it is worth a GW for the 1 hit?
Just trying to clean it all up.
Thanks!

Re: GW Ford Credit

I'm in the same boat, although I don't remember mine ever being late, but mine shows
30 days late 4 times on all 3 of mine as well.

DOLA on mine was June 2005 when I paid it off, monthly payment was $456.

Re: GW Ford Credit

Out of 48 payments (4 yrs) being late one time is 98%!
Not outrageous, but late is late.
I know I will not ever have a new car loan again, much less with Ford Credit.

Re: GW Ford Credit

I heard they wont GW lates and that anything after two years isnt affecting your score. I have 3 from 2003-2004. I see a red flag and I dont like it. My letter was returned as undeliverable.

Re: GW Ford Credit

30's only affect your score for one year.  I also have a baddie from 2003....heck with it.  Not worth worrying about.

Re: GW Ford Credit

robmod, I would GW it. It is worth it. I disagree that lates only hurt for a short period of time. I know most have heard my story, but it bears repeating again. For those who have already heard it, please switch to another channel for a few seconds. Smiley Happy

I had a 30 day "status". Never was late, never was reported late, just a status that was 30 days late. It was over 2.5 years old. Upon removal, EQ +26, TU +43.

Re: GW Ford Credit

I have the letter typed and ready to go (love my new folder of letter templates!)
I might as well send it. I will not have high hopes, but maybe they will do go with it. This will be my first GW. We will see what happens. Thanks for the advise.

Re: GW Ford Credit

What is a GW? I'm new here. I have a late with Honda from a few years ago. I'd like to get it off, too.
