This is my first post/question although I have read many helpful posts in this community.
I recently sent a GW letter to RJM Acquisitions after reading on here how to do it. It was a $90.00 book charge incurred by my ex-wife in my name. When I became aware of it I immediately paid the charge. However, it showed up on my EQ report as a collection account. In the mail today, I received a response from RJM that states, "As per your specific request, an update is being sent to Trans-Union and Experian instructing them to have RJM's tradelline deleted on the referenced account."
My question is: Does this remove it completely from my credit reports? Also, I specifically requested it be removed from my EQ report. RJM responded it would be removed from TU and EX. Do I need to re-contact them to have it removed from EQ.
I very much appreciate any help and especially am thankful for the information shared in this community.
In my situation RJM does not show up on my Equifax report. The other 2 it is on, I am awaiting the deletion myself.
