GW Letter for Student Loan

Has anyone been successful in getting lates removed from a student loan? I have my loan with Wachovia it's now 10yrs old (boy time flies) if I could at least get my lates removed from the last 12 months that would be HUGE, let me know if anyone has had success in Gwl with student loans

I realize I nothing to lose everything to gain and I want to send a GW letter to student loan company (Wells Fargo/Wachovia) who/what dept. should the letter be addressed too or do I just send the letter to the same dept. where payment are remitted too?
