GW Response from Citibank

Hi Everyone!

So, regarding a 60 and 90 day late on a 2012 account that was paid, but closed by Citi, I sent off 2 gw letters and 2 gw emails to Citibank within the past 3-4 weeks (basically a letter week one, a letter week two, an email week three, and another email this past weekend). I FINALLY got a response - a letter from the Office of the President:

Thank you for your correspondence to Jud Linville and our Executives. Because your inquiry is about the manner in which your above-referenced account appears on your credit profile, I have been asked to respond to you.

Your credit profile at the consumer reporting agencies includes a record of how you have maintained your account with u. Although we can appreciate the circumstances that prevented you from remitting timely payment, the account information and payment history reflected on your credit report are correct and will not be changed.

TL;DR - Citibank said no  to GW letter Smiley Sad

I'm kinda bummed, and I'm not sure what to do now. They sound pretty adamant about not doing anything. Should I send more letters? Send back to the address I received this letter from or the address on my statement like I had been doing? Could I make this worse by responding?

Thanks for reading - any advice/encouragement is very much appreciated!

PM me - I might have gotten lucky but I got a paid CO removed from 2010 via email. Got a voicemail saying they'd remove (from a very polite sounding lady) and a letter to confirm.

Re: GW Response from Citibank

Hope I am not in the same boat. I just sent them a gw letter yesterday. Do you mind sending me the contact also? If need be I will wait awhile before using the info so they don't get rained on by a bunch of letters at once.

Did you pay off or settle? I paid off a citi a/c almost 4 years ago and it shows off paid/ settled for less than full. Was wondering if your case was similar and if so, can you send me info too, I would like to get that removed.

Hey guys, I know this has been a long old forum but if anyone could please share the contact info to send the GW letter, I would truly appreciate that! Thanks much in advance!
