Was wondering if anyone has had any success with GW & GMAC mortgage (formerly Homecomings ) - we had two mortgages with them (two different properties) and in the past few years have refinanced our house loan and sold the rental property so both are closed accounts. Problem is there are multiple 30 day laets on them - son was in and out of hospital over the course of two years, med bills took a toll - anyway, have not had a late on mtge since refi and worry about how damaging the previous one is - have tried disputing - is it worth writing gmac and asking if they will stop reporting it? the problem is for whatever reason, it shows neg with the lates on both hubbys & my Eq & TU and shows as positive tradelines on Experian.....go figure.
