Sent a GW letter for my partner for both Wamu and Capital one for late payments that happened while enrolled in a credit counseling program. Both companies wrote a letter back saying these were valid late payments on credit report.
So the question is, is there anyway to go after the credit counseling agency without spending $5k for a lawyer or something or another way to go at Wamu and Capital One to get these removed?
3 - 30 day late payments right in a row. When we pulled the credit reports, that was the first time we had knowledge this company was doing this to the creditors and cancelled it immediately and brought everything back current, but of course all damage done (about 100 points loss) OUCH!
