Ha, nothing to add but I really enjoyed reading that!
Just a bit of an update. I spoke with a nice lady at CSC Services on Tuesday. She gave me another fax number to send the documents directly to them, saying it might take EQ a couple of days to even start pushing the papers to them. Amazing how easy things go when one initiates a conversation with "How're you doing this morning?" I was on and off the phone in all of five minutes and change.
I have also received an automated e-mail from EQ saying that the reinvestigation has begun. So far, so good. Hopefully Zephram and Melvin get it right this time!
Also, ScoreWatch alert woke me up last night, but I certainly did not mind. 579 to 603. Gave me an excuse to go snag a cookie from the kitchen to celebrate another small victory.
This thread cracked me up. I'm waiting patiently for EQ to update as well. Other 2 did right away. I'm having trouble with GERCB. I've sent a couple of GW's for 3 30 day lates from 2009. No luck. Just mailed a GW to a head honcho so hoping I hear something positive soon.
EQ is slow but they finally deleted a CA from my report yesterday. They ca sent the request last monday!
@RN67 - I have a name to use for that if you want/need.
Got brave after reading multiple success stories with WFNNB, so I found a fax number for them and dashed off another GW letter. Let's see how they do.
AWESOME! Can you PM me please? Thank you so much!!
Sent.
And it's not Melvin or Zephram.
How many employees of CSC does it take to screw in a light bulb. . . or tend a reinvestigation?
Apparently, it's three.
I pulled up the investigation site with the last confirmation number I had stored in my e-mail just to see if the feathers had been ruffled. Three new investigations with three unique confirmation numbers? Can't say I've seen that happen before. Does anyone have a touch of insight as to why a single fax about a single item underwent mitosis and turned into either the witch scene from Macbeth ("Thrice the brinded cat hath mew'd! Thrice and once, the hedge-pig whin'd! Round about the cauldron go!")?
Hope I haven't opened a proverbial can o' worms, though I've no clue why simple submission of "I'm right and you're not. Fix it, please." would have some adverse effect like that. Ideas, hypotheses, and witticisms appreciated.
Does anyone have some solid contact info for Comenity/WFNNB as far as GW purposes go?
I'd like to see if I can be as convincing to them for an old DressBarn account I opened for my ex-wife during the first marriage.
I sent them a letter via fax, but I have a feeling it might have found its way into the "Pfft, really?" bin. If I were to get these cats to flatline the history, I'd
be in the proverbial high cotton (couple of 60s dancing about and blowing spitballs everywhere).
Also, in the "sweet deal" section of things, I got an e-mail from Merrick's customer service today. They amped my limit up by another $300 to a very
nice $1500. That's the second bump in six months!
