Does anyone here have any experience or advice getting a goodwill adjustment for late payments on student loans that are owned and/or serviced by Access Group?
I have three types of loans through Access Group: private, stafford, and FFELP. These were serviced by Access Group through Feb. 2012; now, they are still owned by Access Group, but they are serviced by ACS. I have been current on all accounts since Sept. 2011, but prior to that, I had a couple serious delinquencies. I've sent a letter to Access Group's headquarters in DE requesting a GW adjustment removing the late payments from my CR, but I have no idea what to expect.
If anyone has any experience requesting GW from Access Group, or from any lenders on federal student loans for that matter, I'd appreciate your insight. Thanks.
