I co-signed loans for my ex a number (almost 10) years ago. When we seperated, ex stopped making payments. Ultimately, in the divorce, ex was responsible for the payments and subsequently settled the accounts - but not before 2 CA entries were added on top of the 2 deliquent loans. These won't be coming off for another 4 years.
I know the divorce agreement doesn't override the co-signed contract, so I'd be seeking real, true goodwill.
Anyone ever GWd in a similar situation? Any good templates for letters?
