GW successful!!!

Okay my fellow credit builders, lol.   I have 7 accounts with NelNet (why they are separate student loans I have no idea...lol) and allowed them to fall behind 120-150 days late.  Each reporting tanked my score.  Last week a GW letter was sent to some executives who took pity on my letter and gave me a second shot.  Honesty truly is the best policy.  i submitted documentation of each incident to substatiate my case.  I checked my credit report this morning and EQ was the first to report the change in all 7 trade lines as PAID AS AGREED!  To them I will forever be grateful.  With all of this I am wodering if I will see a substatial increase in my scores?

Re: GW successful!!!

Ahhh, you give me hope! I have a recent 90 day late that took place while trying to get my payment option changed and a consolidation done.

I just sent a letter yesterday to the CEO to see if he would consider removing the late.  I am hopeul for an outcome such as yours!

If you get a second, PM who and what address you mailed to so I can compare to mine, and if it was different I will know a different route to take if I don't get an answer.

Re: GW successful!!!

Were the loans private student loans?  I have loans with Sallie Mae and I thought about sending GW letters to them but I heard that with SL that aren't private loans that it is impossible to get them to delete the late payments.

Hey Mocha82 the student loans in question were not of a private entity.   I dont see an issue with you sending the GW letters to Sally Mae.  You will never get a response if you never ask a question.  I say go for it!!!  I am about to send you a PM real quick.
