Gave limited power of attorney to credit repair company

A while ago I made a boo boo. I hired Enlighten Debt Solutions to handle all my credit problems. They had me sign a bunch of papers, including a limited power of attorney paper. They said they needed it bc come collectors won't work with them unless they have that. This happened about 2 years ago, and I have since cancelled my service with them. I was really getting no where. It costs so much money, and I could have handled it myself.

Do I have anything to worry about? Since I cancelled, I am fine, right?  I don't know if anything bad can happen in the future.

I don't think you would have anything to worry about.  A limited power of attorney is just for certain things and most of them have time frames written into them, with a start and stop time.

Do you still have the paperwork?  And since you cancelled your service that should have ended it.
