Getting 30/60 lates removed from a paid account

In 2013 I had a 30/60 late payment(s) on a home equity line of credit.  Prior to that I had several 30 day lates on that account.  In May of this year the debt was paid by my stepmother and refinanced in her name only.  I was the primary borrower on the old account.  I tried contacting Bank of America two years ago to remove the lates but they would not do it.  I have 120day lates and chargeoffs falling off this year.  Do I have any recourse at this time to remove the lates?  My only other recent blemish is a 2012 30-day late utility payment.  My scores are 698 EX, 700 TU, 711 EQ (Fico 9).  I'm in the process of buying a house this year and was preapproved for a VA loan.

The only recourse is to kick your good-will request up to a higher management level, and hope for sympathy at that level.
