Good Progress on Credit Build

Pulled credit report in February 2014. I was at 653 average score.

Following C.C profile

Capital one - 2 cards - $500 limit and $2250 limit

Discover - $3000 limit

Step 1. Paid off balances to zero balance. My Credit utilization was crazy high. Even though i was paying more than 80% off each month it was not till the last date of cycle. Which means the CC companies reported very high balances. Never got credit for paying off in full. So timing is everything. Understand your cycles (closing date). It takes 2 days to post your payment. Pay off your cards to near zero 3 days before end o cycle.

Step 2: Be freakishly good about payment timings

Pulled credit report today (4/15/2014) - Mid score - 695 High Score 699.

Will start gardening.

Thank You everyone on here for the great advise.

Thanks
