Greetings. I've taken heart in a lot of the stories that the posters have relayed via the forums here. Specifically, the Goodwill Letters that have been written to success. I have a question along those lines:
I have four collections that are all paid, and have a status "Paid, was a Collection" on my report. These were one-off totals (moved before lease was up, didn't give 30-day notice to daycare, left Brighthouse Networks early, etc.), and so I can't necessarily write a GW asking for 30/60/90-day consideration.
Is this a situation that a GW letter can even help? Should I write one asking for the accounts to be removed? Since it wasn't a "credit line," I can't see any benefit to having them on my credit report even though they're paid.
Thoughts? And thanks.
