Can I send GW letters to banks that were unpaid as part of ch 7? Do they do that?
I can tell you that I tried with no luck... that doesn't mean all banks are all the same... It can't hurt to try!
With unpaid bad debt on their books, I would not anticipate a high degree of good-will on their part.
All you can do is try.... can you offer any mitigating circumstances?
I offered to pay my credit union back everything that had been discharged and they were very snooty with me and told me that even if I paid it all back they would never have me as a customer again. I can't remember where I read it as I found the site when I was filing, but I had remembered seeing somewhere that some have succeeded with paying off a card to reopen it, but, can't find it now. Somehow I doubt it's too likely, decent creditors don't like messing with bankruptcy and the bad ones you dont' want back anyways.

They also have no legal authority to accept payment on a non-existing debt.
They would be prudent, in my opinion, not to do so.
