I have been perusing the boards for several months now looking for ways to repair my credit. I had a charge off that was paid off over the span of a year that I wanted to get removed as my fiance and I are begining to look to purchase a home. I decided to send a goodwill letter to the Capital One executive office due to the high amount of success stories associated with reaching out via that process.
I however did not receive the same sucess. I received a voicemail message from someone at the Executive Office and tried over two days to reach her. When I finally did, she explained to me that they could not delete my Paid Charge Off because their policy is making adjustments only due to a bank error (their error). I continued to describe my situation and my need to have it removed only to be continually told that it could only be removed/adjusted due to a bank error. Has anyone been met with the same result?
