I had this card for 2 years. I never missed a payment and kept it paid off regularly. They gradually increased my credit from the $300 collateral I gave them to $600 without requiring more collateral. I then received a letter stating that I was "graduating" to a unsecured card. I now have a $600 unsecured card and I'm waiting for my collateral refund. Its a start! Congrats!
Getting that card is the best thing you can do(and cleaning up your report of course). Use it for a few months, pay in full on each billing cycle and you'll start getting more offers. Most of which will have high rates and annual fees but will allow you to build. I needed to get a secured about a year ago and it has helped me get re-established.
Thats awesome. Thanks for telling me your experience with the card!
