Holy COW!!!!! I can't believe it......I just got my....We will delete from all 3 CB. It was the Imagine Mastercard....the amount owed they show is $1,141.00 Midland shows the date opened as 6/26/2008....so im not sure if that is the date they purchased it or if that is DOD....so going with the 2008 date it will be 5 years old next month. This ROCKS!!! The only sad part is that I think it was only reporting to TU...BUT a WIN is a WIN!!!! I LOVE....LOVE....LOVE THIS FORUM!!! YOU ALL ROCK!!!!!
I sent a simple letter along with a few pages of the FTC Ruling ...I highlighted a few key phrases.....and sent it to the address on my CR...Certified mail of course. Yes the SOL had expired.....
Now I have 1 more acct with them that is listed as a Judgement.......Let's see a Victory for that 1 too. But my concern is the letter I mailed them listed both accts.....I will wait a week or so and see if i get a response for the other acct...because this letter only addressed 1 out of the 2!!!!

To bahbahd,
Here is the link where I found a lot of info on it: http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Rebuilding-Your-Credit/Midland-Deleted/m-p/1847993/highlight/true#M2...
I have my letter typed and ready to go.......right after I close on my mortgage. I used the FTC ruling to get around paying the collection before my mortgage closes and it was all good. So right after closing, I will be sending it. Mine is also 6 years old so nothing to lose at this point.
