I recently sent DV letters to CA, and after reading several post, I don't think I was suppose to send those letters because they are for unpaid medical debt. What do I do? Have I messed up? I really need help.
Thanks
Can you explain your situation in FULL detail
First off, dont do anything untill:
a. The SOL for your state has expired
and/or
b. You can PIF
If you can say yes to one/both of these, google "whychat HIPAA letter"
MrChairman,
All are UNPAID medical debts in collections, a couple are new and some are old (but dont fall off for about 4 or 5 years). I wanna clear them off of my reports. I recenlty sent DV letters to the CA (the new ones) not a HIPAA letter; in reading other post I don't think I did process right. Can I just treat medical the same way that I am going about my credit card debt? Or do I need to follow HIPAA process?
TugChris,
I can PIF for the accounts, they are relative low balances, but I googled the process and I am complete confused by it. Can you give quick step-by-step instructions or where can i find a GOOD one.
I will leave this one up to the HIPPA experts.
I sent you a PM with the correct website.
