Hi friends,
Okay my husband and I paid a Kohl's collection from 2008 in June.
Kohl's sent this information to all 3 CRA.
TU and EX updated as PAID. BUT Equifax has not.
Kohl's stated that they sent it to them electronically and by letter.
Equifax claims they have no record of it!!!!!!!!!!
What can I do now??
We need this updated ASAP, our mortgage loan is contingent on this. I do not want it to delay!!!
Thanks for all of your suggestions....what is the fastest way to update this???

Being that long since it has been update will cause a big score drop you get them to update to the correct info.
The score is not the issue on this one we just need to show it PAID "0" balance. When it updated with TU and EX it actually increased the scores. I need advice on how to get EQUIFAX to move on this!!! Please...
You can call the OC or send them a direct dispute letter.
Ask Kohl's if they will send it again.
I do not want to dispute because it will take forever to get the results and dispute marks off.
Don't dispute, not necessary. Just ask the creditor to resend it to that one CRA.
Ask the mortgage company if a letter stating that this debt has been paid in full will suffice.
You might not have to rely on the CRA at all.
That is true but it still needs to show it was paid for future creditors.
I called kohls/cap one to have them re-send info to EQ, they refused!!! They told me that they sent it to them twice, electronically and by mail! They have been hard to deal with. But I truly think it is EQ that dropped the ball here! Now I have to send a letter to EQ.!!!!!!!!
Do you think if i send a letter with the proof they will automatically update or will this produce a dispute? Thanks
