HIPAA

Just sent out my pre-hipaa letter to Transunion CRA for a medical collection in Colorado. So hopefully I will have some luck! I have another 2 PFD letters mailed out about 2 weeks ago.

 

Just wanted any advice or comments on any expectations I should have.

You mean you sent the pre-HIPAA dispute letter to the CRA's, right? Pre-HIPAA letters are "always" sent to the CRA's. The other two collections that you're trying to PFD, they're not med collections, right?

Right, sorry. i mis-spoke. But I sent it to the CRAs.

The other two are not medical collections. So I did pfds.

Ok, thanks for clarifying that. You'll have to wait until the CRA's finish their investigations. Also, there is a chance the CA might validate the med collection as a result of your dispute with the CRA's, but don't count on it. The investigations can take up to 30 days, so hang in there.
