I have 2 paid med collections, one to drop off in Nov. , the other in 2011 - I've read so many lines here I'm not sure what to do. I know to wait til the Nov one drops, but I think I should try to get the other deleted, but then I've heard about "aged" items being removed hurting scores. A coll is a coll whether its paid or now I'm reading, true?
I tried the process earlier and postings were validated, but the only one that dropped off (all from same CA) was past SOL. They've made errors on their reportings, but insist we call them even tho they're paid.
And for some other reason I thought med SOV in IL was 4 years, but cannot find that source again. Seems to be 5 yrs according to bankrate.com.
We're about 6-8 months from seeing the light at the end of the tunnel getting our wretched credit past erased from our reports. You've all been so helpful!!
