Just checked my inquiries and I had two separate. Collection agencies having a couple soft pulls and then each having a hard pull (both were about a 6 months apart) I had one of them try to collect fraudulent debt and had it removed and the other never contacted me nor is reporting anything and when I called them, they had nothing for my name.
So why the hard pulls?! Did they do a random soft pull, see my credit is bad now do a hard pull to try to make it worse as leverage for down the road?
Guessing I can't get them removed but it makes sense now that why I was declined months ago for "too many inquires" when I hadn't applied for any credit in a year.
