Depends on who the secured card is through. Some secured card providers do a HP.

Need more information. Did you get a HP from your secured card provider after you made the increase? To my knowledge, this is not of the norm.

The card is from bank of america, I got an alert today for the hard inquiry from yesterday. The same day I made the increase. called customer service and asked why. the rep said everytime we extend you credit, we have to hard pull your report. I told them you're not extending me credit, im increasing my own limit on a secured card.

BoA was the first one I thought of when you said a secured deposit required a hard pull.
