Any suggestions on trying to get capital one to pull back a CO? Any success stories??
Did you pay them back in full?

Not yet. The plan is to pay them back in full; however it's a CO and portfolio recovery has the debt now.
Is Cap Ones reporting showing an unpaid balance? or is just the collector showing a balance?

Yes Cap One is showing the unpaid balance. The collector isn't showing.
I would try to get it settled before Portfolio reports it as a collection.

Send your goodwill letter to the CEO of Capital One. Google it. Once Portfolio starts reporting, it will be very difficult to get them (PRA) to delete. PRA finally Goodwill deleted my Cap1 collection with them and it was EXTREMELY difficult. It took 8 months of begging to many different people...Cap1 one is known to goodwill delete (if you get them to feel for your situation) after it's been charged off. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will Cap1 "Pull Back" an account that they charged off and or sold. If PRA owns the account, Capital One will not accept payment. The only way to get Cap1 off your credit reports once charged off and sold is Goodwill or waiting the duration of 7 years and 180 days.
IMO, call Portfolio Recovery and pay them before they start reporting.
