Hello All -- Getting started on the New Year's resolution

Scores are low, but actually up 26 - 45 points since November.

Opened two secured CC accounts, one store card via Shopping cart trick in December.

Got a couple minor paid collections dropped, major CO and Collections dropping off throughout 2015.

Would like to send PFD on a sizeable collection that is past SOL, offering maybe 10%, but don't want to trigger an SOL reset. If I do nothing, it will drop off mid 2016, but since it's an open account and the OC is an apartment complex, it's hampering my ability to lease now.

Goal is to add 100 points to credit scores this year.

Include within your PFD offer the statement that it is not an acknowledgment of the debt, but simply a desire to resolve the matter.

Make sure that any agreement reached comprises acknowledgement of full satisfaction of the debt.  At that point, your payment cannot reset SOL as there would no longer be a debt upon which to initiate legal action.
