I had numerous lates, charge-offs and collections. My scores were horrible!

Today, I have three squeaky clean reports. I'm finished with repairing and rebuilding my credit, it was a long journey, especially the rebuilding. My FICO scores are 800+ with a credit history just two months shy of 25 years and an AoAA (average age of accounts) of 10 years.

Re: Hello My Name is.....

Hello, my name is Axa, and I'd like to share a bit of my story.

When I first found out what a credit report was in 2005, my FICO scores were TU 436, EX 524, and EF no score. This included 2 judgements, about 6 CAs, 2 COs, and numerous lates (numerous!).

Two years ago, after PFD and paying off, I discovered CK. I was pleased to see my score was 600, but then disappointed to find out when applying for an apartment that, in reality, I had no FICO scores due to not having "sufficient credit to produce a score". That's when I learned about FAKO, and upon my mother's advice, acquired an HSBC MC, limit $320.

Last year, I had only 2 CAs, 2 SL in default, 3 TL (CC), and my scores had been climbing. When I applied for my current rental, my TU FICO was 724.

Today, I have no baddies, my SL is in rehab, and my FICO scores are TU 753, EX 705, EF 754. My TL are 1PL, 1AL, 6CC (+1 pending), and 1 store card. I am now a Gardner, and am getting better at pruning and tending to my little crops.

I have learned to view everything as a process, and my credit profile is now a permanent hobby.
