Help! Medical Debt

Hi. I was on this board about 2 months ago and received help with a medical debt on my credit report. With the help of board members, I was able to get it removed from my credit report. Today I receive a letter from the same debt collector, NCC, about the debt that was removed asking me to pay it. What do I do?

I checked my credit reports and  the debt does not appear there.

I know zilch on medical debt, but I though you had to pay it so as to follow the HIPAA process. Was it paid?

When you got it removed who did you go through? The OC or NCC?
Was it paid previously?

When I got it removed I did it through the HIPAA process. The very first time that it appeared on my CR I never received a formal letter from NCC. It was just there. Then it was removed. I thought that was it and today I receive a letter from them stating that I owe money.
