Hello Everyone! I am a new member here and I really need some help. I have been trying to rebuild my credit for the last few months by making on time payments to all my credit accounts and such. But, there is one thing holding my credit back. I have a collection account with EOS CCA for an AT&T account that closed out in 2010. I've noticed the account open and close dates listed on my credit reports are completely off stating they were from last year. I really need some help to get this info removed but I haven't had any luck. Is there anyone that has had a similar situation that can help me out? Anything would be greatly appreciated!
The open date of a collection account is the date the collection agency acquired the debt, not the date the account with the OC was opened.
Is the debt paid?
can you supply a screen shot? EOS CCA is pretty easy to deal with!!!
I haven't paid them. Every time they have sent me a letter I have attempted to contact them to set up some type of arrangement to pay them but the numbers are always disconnected. The phone number on my credit report takes me to a random company with a different name. When I tried setting up an account on their website with the account number from the letter it says cannot find account. So I pretty much just gave up.
A screenshot a letter from them? Or the collection account on my credit report?
The account on your CR.
Have you sent them a DV letter?

It kinda sucks becoming a guru on a collection company, means you had to deal with the same pain and nonsense everyone else has.. but I am glad to pass on the information.. haha
