As I began to rebuild, I have had great days and some bad ones..lol Today, I was alerted that a 6 yar old CO has reported on my EX report. What could be done about this? Also, what kind of hit will I take as far as my scores are concerned. Any help or suggestions?
I'd start firing off PFDs.
Hit? It depends on how it reports and the debt type. If it is a CC for example and it reports a balance and CL, then there could be a hit due to util. Or maybe it is a CO like a utility then the reported dates matter. On the flip side, if it is an old CO, with an age older than your AAoA, then in some situations, you could see an increase. It all depends.
I hate when old collections show their ugly heads! I had 2 show up the beginning of the year. I settled it and then disputed them b/c the CA said that they wouldn't PFD but I got both removed. Just stay positive and have a plan of action. Don't concentrate on how much it will ding your score but on how to get it removed ASAP.
