Help to PFD (Portfolio Recovery) !!!

Hey everyone,

I need advice on how to resolve an issue with PRA.

I am trying to clean up my credit history and improve my score, and those guys (PRA) are the last on my list. They purchased a debt from Ikea card that became delinquent in 2010. I send PRA a PFD letter for the originl amount on Ikea account ($630 vs. $830 that is reported by PRA). PRA never got back to me... What should I do? I would even be willing to pay the whole amount for PFD, but I just don't want to offer it yet in case I will have to settle with "paid in full" conviction

Advice anywone?

Should I validate the debt with them (it is still pretty fresh though - 2010), should I send another PFD? Should I despute the charge, if so how and on what terms?

I'm pretty new to the whole Credit system, so don't judge me for ignorance.

Welcome to the forums.

You can send them a DV.  If they validate then ask for a PFD.

DV is always your first action. (unless you are 100% you owe the debt)
