I have a charge off from First Premier that was charged off in 2009. It reported as a CO each month up until Nov 2010 then each month shows ND. All of a sudden it starte dto report as a collection in May of 2012 and again in June of 2012.
It only reports this way on Experian. Is this correct reporting? Can a chargeoff change to a collection by an OC?
I chatted with an Exprian rep and asked how this tradline can be reported as a charge off and a collection at the same time and his reply was " that is acceptabel reporting and that it was changed to a collection" It only shows as a collection in the little reporting boxes and noted as such on Experian but also says "charged off" in teh commets.
Any help with this is much appreciated.
