We have been waiting for equifax to catch up for the last 2 months. Finally we saw a 25pt increase yesterday. As of now we are at EQ 633, EX 640, TU 643
we are trying to purchase a home via va loan. As of right now the only reason we aren't being approved is bc of lates in the last year.
Our biggest issue is A USAA cc that was charged off in March of 2008. In 2009 we decided to try and take care of the balance We owed. We agreed to specific terms to pay back $xxx for 48 months. Made every payment, was never late. Our final payment was in Aug 2013. After that final payment they reflected that the CO occurred in Sept 2013 with a 49-month late payment history. We have disputed this info via credit reporting agencies. Issue was not fixed. We tried emailing copies of reports with letter stating discrepancies. No luck.
Is there anything we can do to help clear this bad off the report and move forward with purchasing a home? Or are we just stuck waiting till it's been a year from the last late reported?
