Help with removing credit Inquiries

Does anyone know how to get credit inquiries off credit reports??  TU and EQ only show 2 so I'm ok with those but EX shows 7 Smiley Sad all the credit inquiries are legit but it just looks like I was asking for credit everywhere and has affected my score by like 20 points.

By the way all the credit inquiries were due to trying to refinance so I went to a couple banks & car dealers.

Re: Help with removing credit Inquiries

Can I ask where you got your EX score ? As consumers we can't purchase EX FICO scores.

You will really have a tough time removing these. They were from a business transaction that you initiated, so the companies had permission to pull your credit.

Also the scoring damage may not be as bad as your think ~ if they were all coded as Auto inquiries then FICO scores them as a single inquiry within a month or so window.

Re: Help with removing credit Inquiries

These are not FICO scores. There are only a few places ( like here ) that will sell you FiCO scores, which are the scores that 90% of lenders use.

I wouldn't worry about the inquiry damage. If you have lates or other negatives on your report I would focus on them to boost your FICO scores.

Is transunion.com one of those places? Smiley Happy

Re: Help with removing credit Inquiries

Nope, unfortunately TU doesn't seem to sell a FICO score anymore.

They used to sell a FICO at TransunionCS.com but that no longer seems to work.

Re: Help with removing credit Inquiries

I do not ~ but I'm sure someone else will post or just do some searching around the forums.

I haven't purchased a score in over a year ~ now that creditors are required to disclose your score when they counter~offer or deny you, I have been using those scores to monitor where I stand. And some creditors actually give your score even when you are approved.
